Bowhunter, we're all different. It's difficult to say how long or what will/won't work until you try it. What I have told all of my clients is when you first start, take an honest picture of yourself in nothing but shorts, and keep it posted next to your mirror. Not only will it keep you motivated, but some of our progresses come too slow for us to notice on a day to day basis, and difference from that picture will become more obvious. And, for the same reason, keep a really tight journal on your diet and training (like the one here!).
Hope that helps.....

Are you a beginner? and how many times weekly do you work out? Female or male? Age?!!! Normally it'll take 8-12 weeks before great results but as rev8ball says, everybody is different (and we don't know anything about you.......)

Work each body group once a week and take at least one full rest day. Your body needs the rest or it isn't going to perform to its best.

Yeah the best way to see resutls faster is to train EVERY part not just the three you said. Make sure to add the basics lifts squats, deadlifts, bench press, bent rows and chns....
