Hi!
Are you doing cardio as well? Lifting 6 out of 7 days a week will mean you're building muscle...increasing calories burned...but cardio will really help you lose your gut!

Also, are days 1 and 2 consecutive? I don't know if I'd lift on consecutive days like that because most exercises are compound (to some extent) - you're benching on day 1 - but your shoulders could probably use the rest too before day 2...could you lift every other day - then work some cardio in on the in between days?

Also...diet is important. But if you've read any other post on this msg board you already know that! :o)

What does everyone else think?

well i play basketball 3 times a week for about two hours at a time, i just started my diet last friday and already lost 3 pounds. It should be enough cardio...what do you think?

maybe i could do it like this..

day 1 chest,ab, biceps
day 2 legs,back,
day 3 triceps,shoulders,abs
day 4 rest
day 5 repeat cycle..............?

Maybe a 4 day split would work well for you like this...
Day 1...Chest/Triceps
Day 2...Back/Biceps/Abs
Day 3...rest or cardio
Day 4...Shoulders/Abs
Day 5...Legs/Calves
Day 6 & 7....Rest, or take one day for just cardio.

The cardio will be dependent on your needs. You can always add some any time to any day you like.
