I'm new to the group, finding this website purely by chance.
I've just been told I'm starting the menopause (not really a surprise) so thought getting fitter might help... losing a good stone and a half of weight might also help. I had begun to lose weight and then old habits die hard and it plonked itself back on - with a little (well a lot) of help from yours truly!
I do classes at the gym and walk the dog (though he's old and slow, so not sure whether that counts)! My old joints are beginning to hurt and I've been told to get rid of the gluten from my diet - difficult when so much food contains it. However, there are good ranges of gluten-free food at local supermarkets, so I can cope with that hurdle.
Thought joing a group might give me the kick up the posterior (encouragement) I need to stick to something for once in my life.
Anyone out there got any tips, I'd love to hear from you and be inspired!
