What exactly is the correct way to measure different muscles? I'd like to measure before I start an intense workout program so I can know how far I came at the end. Do you flex? Let's take biceps for example. Where on the bicep do you use the measuring tape? Different places yield different measurements.

Well this isn't a Scientific method or anything..But I would take measurements both flexed and relaxed, at the largerest Diameter of your muscle (in this Ex. Bi-cep) Record the measurement's and do the same after the workout program.

another way might be to take 3 measurements, again both relaxed and flexed, one about an inch from your shoulder, mid arm, and then an inch from your elbow. This way might give you a better idea of overall growth, not just peak size.
