Hurt wrist

While doing preacher curl last year i hurt my wrist when i hit it. Ever since then it hurts when I do a straight bar curl or sometimes with the preacher bar. I was wondering if I could do anything to substitute that exercise?

i had my wrist hurt to and it hurt when i did those but i got some of those gloves with the straps connected and tied it real tight so i could work out it took a long time to heal but the gloves helped

Well, you could wrap before doing the exercise, but I would suggest seeing a doctor about it. There are alot things that could be wrong and you could be doing more and more damage. Cheers

I was working out my shoulder's yesterday. and I lifted an additional 20 kgs. But, i discovered that I got badly hurt at my wrist. can you please give me tips how to recover. and what are the precautions to be taken while lifting heavy weights.

When doing pressing movements, make sure that the weight sits directly above your forearm in your hand (on the bottom part of your palm, not near the fingers). This will eliminate most of the stress off your wrists. Keeping your thumbs on the outside of the bar will help you do this.

As for recovery, take it easy on your writsts, stretch them often. If you think it may be serious, see a doctor about it, or a sports injury therapist.

Well when i hurt my wrist all you can do at first is take a little break from working out. Then I found that trying to get your wrist a bit stronger helps at the end. But i also started to do less strenuous movements with my wrist for a while. The problem is that i hurt my wrist one year and a half ago and it still hurts when it goes in an awkward position.

Recently I'am feeling a faint pain in my left hand.I don't know how it all happened but whenever while doing some exercises I feel that pain.I have taken message but in vain.
