What should be done for what is known as "Tennis Elbow"? It hurts the most when I do curls.

Yeah I've run into that a few times. I usually injure it out side of the gym, throwing baseballs footballs or something. Then It hurts when I lift, bummer. I think the blood supply to the area is not great, so it tends to take a while to heel. Sad as it sounds I just avoid movements that make it hurt untill it gets better. I also alternate cold and hot pack on the area. I don't know if this will help or not but mine was getting to the point where it was chronic. Then I started supplementing with glucosimine/chrondrotin and I haven't had any problems since. Takes a few weeks though kinda like a loading phase.

Some good advice! Who did you go to to find out how to heal it or at least be able to lift with it like that? I went to a chiropractor a couple of times and they did the ultra sound therapy it helped but was only short term! Glucosimine/Chrondrotin hey?

Well as far as the glucosimine/chrondrotin goes I first read about it a few years ago after I had back surgery. Later I asked my doc about it and he said it may help with my joint pains. It has helped me alot with different spots on my body. Also if xavier is talking 'bout an elbow wrap that will help keep the area warm. Good idea. And Mr. O suggests light work which might encourage more blood flow to the area, more good stuff! I'll have to try it next time I hurt, Only problem is that I have a really hard time keeping things light for some reason! I say "I'm gonna take it easy and go light." but I end up loading the bar every time! Must be some thing wrong with my head:)

Time off, or work through the pain. Take some anti-inflamatorys before you workout will help reduce pain during your workout

I think I would see a chiropractor. They have helped me with various structural problems. Some of them specialize with athletic injuries and understand the body builder's perspective.
