Hi all, I am currently recuperating from yet another turned ankle caused by being a spaz while running the other day. Saw the doc and had the obligatory xray. everythings ok, but I'm thinking that I have the weakest ankles around! Do any of you know some good exercises to strengthen and tighten the ankle? Its not currntly on my list of target areas at the gym, but should be on the top of my list !

I went thru the same thing! I found three things that helped. I started to do a lot of bike riding(mountain bike, and outside), also started to do deadlifts and squats try those and see what happens

You may also try an ankle wrap for added support. A company called Fabrifoam makes them, but I'm sure there are other companies that do too.

yea I use an ankle brace and after every workout I ice em cuz i got perminintly damaged ankles:(

Oh a genius exercise for your calves and ankles is to run in the sand.......
Otherwise do you have a small trampoline (or one of those balance-piece-of-wood-things?)?
