For some reason my calves become very tight and hurt when i jog. My arches also hurt alittle too. At first i thought it was my shoes, but i just bought a new pair at a running shop and explained the problem to them. They said the shoes should help alot, but they didn't.

There may be a # of reasons, including not properly warming up, not enough fluid intake, improper running form, a combination of all of these. When you run, try to have your heels hit the surface first, followd by the rest of the foot. It sounds more like you need to improve your form.

try stretching a little bit more, make sure you feel comfartable and loose before you go out there...
