I have one big question for all....I am serverly overweight and started the ft program going on 3 weeks...I love it. I have been seeing a nutritionist for about five weeks, and walking 2.5 miles sun-thur for about 4 weeks. I have lost 9 pounds so far. My concern is that I have had 2 children and have been overweight all my life. I am really scared that once I loose all the excess fat and get down to my ideal weight that I will have excess skin that I will not be able to get rid of. Does anyone know if this is the case and is there any excercises that may help me. I would really hate to have to turn to plastic surgery to get the figure I dream of. I started at 266 pounds and I am down to 257, I am 24 years old and I have decided I do not want to live the rest of my life in this misery! All the responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
Give it time. You'll be fine. After a woman has a baby the skin 'shrinks' back into place after a while. Some loose skin can be attributed to extra-cellular fluid. Cut down on the sodium and drink more water. Since you're only 24 (I'm 23), your skin is probably still very healthy so you should have nothing to worry about. Continue with the program you're on and stick with it. Sounds like you're already acheiving some great results!
