Hi, i just joined today, i am hoping to loose weight and maybe tone up my abs abit, i seem to be quiet toned in the leg and arms region due to many years of competitive swimming and running but i just seem to have put alot of fat on now and want to loose it. I have read the nutrition programs but not too sure what i should eat to loose weight, i have chose the home program as i cant go to a gym, but need help in my diet i have never been able to control my eating to well, i hope someone can help me with that. I cant eat any dairy products due to allergies but i drink soy milk every now and then not my favourite though. Look forward to starting on monday and hope i can get off to a good start.

Welcome to FT. You say you cannot have dairy. Have you tried and whey protein drinks yet? I use this to replace milk products as I hate soy! (and soy milk usually has lots of sugars added too).

No problem, get your protein from whole food sources!!!!!!

Welcome to ft! If you can't have whey or milk protein, you can try soy-based protein powders instead of soy milk. At least this would be another protein source...aside from food sources.
Good luck!

I hope you reach your goals....I added a lot of protein to my diet and it seems to be doing a wonder on my weight and bodyfat. Good luck.

Switching from a carb diet to a protein centered diet takes time to adjust too. Its worth the effort as we seem to stay leaner this way.
