I maybe going out on a limb here but here it goesMy wife has been exploring breast enhancement options (other than surgery, definite no go) ie creams, pills and such. Can someone please give me an informed answer to some questions: first do they work but more importantly are they safe, any side effects? cancer risks etc. If anyone has tried them let me know of the results. Thanks. |

Whoa what am I doing here?... Anyway I have no idea about any of those.. just thought I'd drop in that in a few places I saw something about that if she develops some her pectoral muscles it could help that area seem bigger... though I haven't really met anyone who could claim thats true.. damn.. where's philla.. |

Hmmmmm ... I'd be really sceptical of non-surgical claims (think of them as "revolutionary" new bodybuilding supplements). Is your wife looking to increase her cup size? Or instead looking for perkier breasts? <chuckle> Fireloard is right ... developing your pecs helps. I can't believe I'm typing this, but I notice a difference in my cleavage now that my upper pecs are more developed (makes me look really busty) ... working the lower pecs adds a bit of "lift" as well. Sorry I couldn't be more help ... |

I agree with quads, maybe your wife should just try working her chest muscles, I think incline presses are especially good. |

And, why does she want her to chest to be larger anyway? I'm sure you are happy with her, but why can she not be happy with what she's got? |

Thanks for the input but a couple problems come to mind. First although my wife is very athletic she has never been into weight training of any kind. I've tried to get her interested in it since we met in college. She enjoys sport related activities like softball, basketball etc (one heck of a Basketball player) but she has never been into the weights. Also, this whole "self esteem" issue came up after our second child was born. The baby weight was alittle harder to take off. Hey lets face it the whole pregnancy experience (to include breast feeding) can be tough on the bod. I'd venture to guess she would be interested in increases in both firmness and cup size. anyway thanks for the input. The original questions still at hand. |

The prob is that our boobs are made of fat!!!! Okey this make them nice and soft but it's a darn bugger when you go on a diet to lower your body fat 'cause you loose your chest size as well.......Of course your wife can build up the chest muscles and this will push out her breats a little BUT it'll not really change the cup size (let her follow ft's toning exercise program). All the (stupid) products out there to build bigger breats (by magic!) will only give some extra water and is no way long lasting. Well that's it I'm afraid. Now surgery is an option. -------------- - Nina :o) La vie est toujours aussi belle..... |

the verdict is in...there are two ways to increase the size of the breasts1. increase bodyfat level 2. surgery if neither of these appeal to your wife the "be happy with what God gave you" would apply. -------------- What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?.........Leslie |

i've struggled with this topic a lot myself, and have come to the conclusion that as long as i am in shape, i won't have large breasts. vicky's miracle bras are great. she can also try those gel bra inserts...there's some made especially for the miracle bra. (i used to work at vicky's, so know all about them). very comfortable and life-like. |

Push ups will only get your chest muscles larger and therefore push out your breasts. Now if you got really low body fat, you'll have almost no boobs left and you'll be able to see the chest muscle very easily. Well this can be okey, but it's still a big bother that we cannot get our body fat % low down and keep a nice pair of boobs........ BUT it's also true that working with the muscles around our breats, then we can give a nicer shape to them..... -------------- - Nina :o) La vie est toujours aussi belle..... |

Hi,Please don't waste your money on creams or pills. I have 2 girlfriends that ordered the "boob pills", and 6 months later no results. Personally, I think they are a waste of money. I don't think there is anything wrong w/ surgery...unless your speaking financially. I had my breast augmentation for 2 years now. So far no complications. Not saying their isn't any. Definitely do some research, like I did beforehand. I recommend going to a plastic surgeon for a consultation, searching the web. Whatever the reason is: self-esteem, lop sided, or whatever! It's your decision to make. I am very happy w/ my results (I didn't go obnoxiously big, lol). If it makes your wife feel a little better, I think it's totally worth it! |

I can vouch for the small boob thing too. My body fat is not that low and they are still small. My fat intake is probably higher than it should be, but I neither gain weight or larger breasts. I have been working chest for a year and I have awesome muscle tone, but Alas, no larger breasts to speak of. I just blame my mom for not passing on her genetics in that area to me and go on with my life. It takes up too much time to sit and dwell on the fact that your chest is not as big as you'd like it to be. I just bask in the fact that many women who have those large breasts are usually large everywhere else and wish they were as fit as me. I can't be perfect in every way you know...lol. Plus, I can wear a lot of tops that those large boobied girls can't,(without it all hanging out). |

The thing about muscle is that it stays put. The thing about fat is that it tends to sag. Small boobs will look better in 30 years than big ones. End of story. I had C cups when I was younger (and fatter), now I have barely A's. My friends call them an A minus! That said, it's a lot easier make them look bigger than to try and make them smaller, or less bouncy at the gym. A trick to try- dust a bronzer or brownish blush at the top of your cleavage in a 'V' shape. The illusion of shadow make them look bigger.-------------- Think you can or think you can't; either way you're right--Goethe |

I know all about the having kids part and then losing your boobs or have them sag. I was a D cup before I had my first child. At 20 years old I was 36 24 34. After I had my first and second babies I went to a B cup. By the time I had my third child I was as efflunt says, "an A minus". Nothing I tried worked. So I researched on the net for 8 months on different web sites to find out about breast augumentation. (A good site is "breast implants.com, and they have a message board for all of your questions and input from others who have had surgery. VERY informative) The pills were not an option for me because my sister tried them and she said all she got was a $450.00 bill for nothing. That was just for 30 pills. They did not work.:( I went a had my BA and I will FOREVER be greatful that I did. I have my confidence back and I feel great that I can buy a bikini without 2 inches of padding. I have had no complications with mine and if you have a good doctor, one who is certified in the America Plastic Surgeons Association then I would say go for it. It hurts like hell for a week or two, but if you take care of yourself and do what the doctor says you will not regret it. Now I am proud to say that I am back to a D cup and I FEEL GREAT.

creams and stuff never work.
i found that chest workouts make your boobs perkier but not bigger at all (just kinda lifts them up). i totally agree with Itroisi...the only way to make your boobs bigger is surgery or increased body fat. i heard that christina auguilera got fat just so her boobs would get bigger and then went on a dieting/exercising spree too loose the weight but keep the boobs. either way, push up bras rule all. |

O.K. This one is going to sound strange, but if your wife takes birth control pills have her ask her dr. about the patch. The birth control patch has the same risks/benefits as the pill, but it has an odd side effect.... it increases breast size without necessarily causing weight gain. I have been on it since December and have gained a full size in bra but no size difference in pants and only 2 lbs. according to the scale. I know a couple of other people... the ones who recommended it to me who have been on it longer and have gained more than I have, but are also in the same pants size. I was in the same position as your wife only I was beginning to entertain the idea of surgery. I lost a full size after each of my children was born so you can imagine my discontent with skin that was accustomed to holding 2 sizes more and was now empty. (They were trying to visit my navel I think.) Anyway the patch has helped and it is easier for me to remember to change a patch once a week than to take a pill once a day (could this be why I have never been good with vitamins?) -------------- Doni \"I swear by my life, and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man nor allow another man to live for mine\" Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand |

I second that Doni.. same thing happened for me with the patch, it was AWESOME!! I am glad to hear others support that claim because it was pretty drastic for me.
Unfortunately my body doesn't like artificial estrogen and I was getting migraines so had to discontinue. Alas, a few weeks later it was back to the old bras. Definitely something to consider trying though if you are using hormonal contraception anyways. |

I can sympathize with any mom experiencing this. I've nursed my five children and wouldn't take back doing that for anything in the world. I would have only changed one thing-I'd have put aside some $$$ for the procedure. When I got married I was a 36-C. Now I'm a 32-A (and that's a bit big). After nursing, it was like my sweet babies sucked the life out of my breasts. At the same time, I know that nursing them was a beautiful and beneficial thing to give them that was well worth losing my breast size over. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to afford it, but when I can I will have my breasts augmented. It would be nice to be intimate with my husband with my bra off, try on an evening gown that doesn't make me look like a little boy, or find a swimsuit that fits and doesn't make me look homely. I used to be one of the judgmental types that looked down on everyone wanting plastic surgery. But now I understand. Of course, some will do every thing imaginable to look "perfect", but some of us women just want to feel feminine.

It's funny how your opinion can change. I too used to say heck no, who'd want to be fake. They weren't perfect then after having a baby, but at the time I had no idea how "low they could go" as I got older, gained and lost weight etc.
And once they've been full, and are no longer, the push-up bra thing just doesn't work very effectively. Eventually you feel that the only way for them to look remotely sexy again is to fill them back up!! ============ Quoting from gretchen100: It would be nice to be intimate with my husband with my bra off, try on an evening gown that doesn't make me look like a little boy, or find a swimsuit that fits and doesn't make me look homely. I were a ickle size 8/10 (UK) waiste with a 34 ff bust and a big bum...then I had children!!!! I am now a size 12 (UK) and a 34/36 DD (depending on bra) I really want to loose weight...the weight gain has only been within the last 10 months and I hate it :-( The bust...well my bust ! Needs perking up !! I am 24, but I think my bust looks a lot older :-( I want cosmetic surgery, but at the moment I cannot afford (to may debts to pay) so I were thinking about taking some kind of herbal tablet, thats how I stumbled upon this site ;-)) |

The herbal tablets make you gain weight all over. Just stick around here, adopt a healthy lifestyle that will naturally include weight loss, and start stuffing a little extra money in a coffee can for store boughts. I am new here but I have to give my two scents on this subject. First, let me say that all women are different. I find I am a minority when it comes to breasts. I currently wear a size 42J. I wore a DDD when I was only 24 years old and with each child they seem to have gotten bigger! lol. I even breast fed one of them! At one point, I had lost 45 pounds. Not one ounce of it was in my breasts. I then wore a 38J. When I started losing weight and getting into shape I was so excited because I figured, like most women, they would get smaller. They didn't and it even made me look more disproportioned than I already did. Having large breasts are not all that. I can't figure out why some women want them. I can't buy bras in stores, I have to special order them through mail order. I certainly can't find pretty lacy colored ones. They each cost me about $30 without the shipping and handling charges. And they don't make "sports bras" in my size. It is very hard to do any kind of exercise when you have a large chest and nothing to support them. Forget running. Not to mention the sores and oozing of the flesh from sweat in the summertime and when you do workout. It's pretty painful at times. And not easy to treat because the prescription medication that you have to put on to get rid of it, is usually just rubbed off because they are so large. No air flow! I have to buy shirts and dresses to fit me in the chest and usually they are too long on the arms and sagging on my body everywhere else except the chest. Not always attractive! And these girls are right, large breasts without a bra, well let me tell you, mine must weigh at least 3 to 5 pounds each. Think about what that amount of weight does to each of them. It's not a pretty sight! And after having three children and at my age, ugh! And don't forget about the constant back pain! I have seriously considered breast reduction surgery. I hesitate because it is a painful procedure and it leaves a lot of scarring that I feel isn't very nice to look at. So there you have it from someone on the other side of the issue. My advice, think twice about it or at least don't get implants that are very large.

Exercising chest to make breasts bigger...is a MYTH...YOU CANNOT...
PILLS, CREAMS, ETC = SCAMS ...this is all part of a huge industry preying on ignorant individuals.....do not use those Only way to increase breast size of woman is 1. increase overall Body Fat 2. get breast implants Look on the bright side...having smaller breasts, makes it easier to exercise, and on your back...and as skin tends to lose elasticity as you get older....your breasts won't sag as you get older... In other words be have with what you have...everyone had things they don't like about themselves, or wish they could change...but that's life...learn to accept yourself as you are... | |

...My female coworker recently had breast reduction surgery to relieve her back pain and it seemed to have helped...she says her back is much better... I understand any type of surgery has its risks but in your case...it might have its merits...why don't you consult with 2-3 doctors and see what they say.... Also try to do lower back exercises to strengthen lower back and overall back...to help avoid back weakness... Lower Back: 3 sets of 10 reps(meaning 10 reps is all u can do at that weight, if you can do more, then increase by 5-10 pounds) Deadlifts-this is the best Lower Back Machine- if your gym has one Good Mournings Upper Back: Pulldowns/Pull-Ups: 3 sets of 10 reps Cable/Dumbell/Barbell/T Rows 3 sets of 10 Also do crunches, leg raises, twists(obliques), to strengthen your abs.... This will ensure strong CORE to prevent or alleviate any back pain... gl |
