hmm i don't think you should do exercises during your period at all honestly....but maybe have a light weight person walk on your lower back. see, when u feel pain in your back, gas bubbles are located there so when you crack your bones u also pop the gass bubbles which fluid comes out of it and it helps re adjust ur spine and also helps ease the pain and trigger points

I find that exercising during my period helps to alleviate my symptoms, i.e. cramping, muscle soreness. I feel better about myself and find that I'm not as irritable, which I'm sure my family appreciates! I guess it all depends on the individual though.

I do everything I normally do when I'm menstruating.

I do everything normally, but sometimes ab work is a little more uncomfortable, but I stick with it anyway. It can suck sometimes, but you just gotta do it. Running is the one thing that I really hate to do, but that is not an option for me, so I just have to deal with it. It never bothered me until I got the IUD but it is so worth it cause you don't have to worry about pills and shots.

I also do everything as normal. I don't let my period put a hamper on anything I do. I also would not like to stop my routine because of it. I would be to afraid of skipping a beat, and feeling a little sluggish come a whole week later. You know your body. If it is putting more strain on you than normal, trust me, your body will tell you when it's not a good time to work out.

Now why should anything change?!!!!
If you feel really down and not good at all then you shouldn't go to the gym (even thou some cardio could help) but otherwise just don't think about it. First when you get started the nagging tummy ache often just goes away.

I also keep working out inspite of my period. It makes me feel better, and the healthier I become, the less troubled I am by my period.
