I've been having pain in my breasts since I started lifting. Can this be due to muscle expanding underneath? I also have problems with cysts, and have been really careful with caffeine and sodium, so I don't think that's the problem. Also, my breasts are slowly shrinking as my body fat reduces, so it's not like I'm retaining water and swollen. It's better at the moment, but I've been bothered for a good month with this. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, it's not cycle related because I take progestin shots for birth control, (Depo-Provera) so my hormones are basically steady. As a side note, has anyone found info about whether your body processes the shot faster if you speed up your metabolism? My doctor says no, but I'm a little unsure. Thanks!

Hmmmm I'm afraid I cannot help you there effalunt, I never tried that myself (only when it's cycle related!!) And one month is a very long time.

I've got another appointment in 3 days, but because I'm only 20, they seem satisfied to blame it on cysts. This happened last semester as well during my midterm exams, so it could be possibly stress-related. I guess they might send me for a mammogram this time. I'll know on Friday.
