I have a problem hope someone can give me some advice!I was in the military for about 4 years and I used to exercise regularly (that was about 2 years ago) and when I got out I was a really nice compact and muscular size 8. After a two year laspse not working out, my body has flipped out! Iwas dreadfully skinny the first year after I got out, now I gained all of the weight back with a vengeance. I'm a yukky,flabby, size 10. I've re-incorporated fitness into my life somewhat since the summer, going to the gym off and on, but for the last month or so I have made an effort to go atleast 3-4 times a week. I WANNA START SEEING RESULTS QUICK! Do I follow the plan given to me by "ft" or do I add in more cardio? Do cardio after weights? How heavy do the weights be when i start, I don't wanna bulk up...? I'm new here and I need guidance.

Wow calm down lol you didn't get "fat" in two weeks so you wont get fit in two weeks either!!! (o;
Don't worry, you'll get there. Good thing is that you ONCE did a lot of sport so your body still has the memory and will come to shape faster than somebody who never has been active......
Yep do the FT tone program and put in some cardio, let's say 3-4 times weekly 30-45 min.
All the very best luck (and motivation!!) to you!

In terms of boosted energy and reduced stress, you might get quick results, but that's where the quick fix ends! Nothing worth having ever comes easily. Rome wasn't built in a day, ect. Now I sound like my grandmother, who also works out at 73! You're motivated, now do something with that energy. Start and don't stop until you're satisfied. Good luck.

I started an exercise program about 4 months ago, then had to stop because of gall bladder surgery. I am 5'4" and weigh 192. I need to loss at least 50 pounds. If any one has any suggestions or tips- let me know.

What is a reasonable amount of time to loose inches and body fat? I plan on cardio 3xweek for 30 min, yoga and pilates each 1hr week and weights 1 hr 2week. Thanks for any advice. Molly K.
