how do u shrink/dry out your muscles? i was thinking if they get too big i could shrink them. i read somewhere about doing that but it wasn't really specific so it didn't really say what you're supposed to do. thanx.

Boy, I wish I had that problem! I guess the easiest way would be to let them atrophy...(don't work them or feed them). Can't imagine doing that, but to each their needs. Why do you think they are too big? Is it just one muscle group that stands out? If you are just starting, this may be the case. Everyone makes gains faster in some areas than others, and one area might develop quite quickly and stand out more. If you are experiencing this, just keep working the whole body, everything will catch up and you will be proportional and pleased. As a woman, you needn't worry about getting huge muscles anyway.

It's easy, just stop eating proteins and do a ton of cardio..... You'll lower your metabolism and you'll get fat oooh so easy.

Is that what you want?

Muscles have a high percentage of water, if you dehydrate, the muscles will shrink and "dry out", but that is not realistic is it? or healthy!! I would think that the chances of you getting "too big" is pretty slim as most of us (females) are elated to add a pound of muscle. I wouldn't woory about getting too big...I would worry more about losing muscle as we age...and conteract it with weight training.

a small difference is not abnormal. My right side measures slightly smaller than the left, it is so minimal the eye cannot detect it.

I have encountered that problem myself, but I think a lot of it is all in my head. I think I am shrinking because I don't see myself as big as usual and my clothes tend to begin fitting a little loose in certian areas. My friends at the gym insist I am not. Another thing is that I tend to not eat as much at times and I tend to shrink a little, probably from lack of protein. You can control how big your muscles get though. Slowly progress in weight and just monitor yourself and maybe take periodic measurements. When you get to your desired size just maintain. Lower your weight and do more reps.
