Seems like a good question for a doctor.
But personal experience...I take Yasmin and haven't had any weight issues. The only one that caused me problems was Ortho Tri-cyclen.

One that really works for me is not the pills but the implant called IMPLANON. I don't know if you got that one over there. Just a small implant that you keep under your skin close to your triceps. Your wife can keep it for three years and it's safe. Personally, I haven't had any problems but do some info yourself before.

Well, I know exactly what you are talking about. The depo shot made it hard for me to lose weight. I am bad at remembering to take pills everyday, so I got the IUD. I love it. It makes my menstral cycle a little heavier and a little cramping, but it is good for 7 years and you don't know it is there. Some people don't like it, but I think it works great for me. I didn't know the military offered it, but they do. Have her talk to the doc and make her dicision off that. The pill is also good to take. Just tell her to stay away from the depo.

Just laugh about it....
