I workout at a gym for two reasons. first I have no room for enough equipment at home. Secondly, I would never workout at home cause it is easier to make an excuse to not workout. Plus if I pay for a gym I am more dedicated to go to get my moneys worth.-------------- "When in danger, or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout" LIFT HARD AND OFTEN!!!!!! |

I work out at home. Have all the equipment you can imagine. I'm the opposite of 7707mutt. It would be easier for me to make an excuse not to get in the car and drive across town to the gymn. Having everything handy let's me work out anytime I want to as well. |

I work out at home. With the amount of hours I work, family, etc... it just works out better for me. A ton quicker just to walk downstairs than to drive across town. |

I have a gym at home that is a nice convieniance; but I like to go to other gym's, sometimes its more motivating and also more educational-keep up w/the latest and greatest.I trvl alot and enjoy visiting new gyms, always something different. Most only charge me 3-5 bucks for a day pass. -------------- "Get everthing you want--just make a little change now" |

I train at the gym for weights and cardio, when the weather gets warmer I do outdoor cardio.-------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Franklin P. Jones Ivan Montreal Canada |

I train at home. I have everything I need (bench, squat rack, cables, 370lbs of iron, etc) except for a leg press. For convenience sake, I love training at home. But, I would love to train in a gym where most of the people were either bodybuilders and/or powerlifters. That way I have more motivation (spotter), gain more info on techniques, and someone to pick the bar off of my throat when I can't lock out on my bench. -------------- --JBennett "I've up-ed my intensity.... now up yours!" Rebfootball,Cut and paste this link (hope it works): http://129.41.60.44/acefit/catalog.cfm?dest=itempg&itemid=287&secid=2&linkon=section&linkid=2 That is the setup I have at home (minus the chick). I have the bench and leg ext/curl attatchment as well. Very nice setup and comes with a lifetime warranty. Can't beat that! -------------- --JBennett "I've up-ed my intensity.... now up yours!" I train at the gym. It's my only 2 hours of being with society per day. Just the fact that people around me makes me energized. And oh, don't forget the stunning females that walk by when your doing your last heavy set. It makes you oh so more dedicated. |

At home has worked for me. Work all day and Kungfu, whether teaching or my own training, at night, leaves me with few options. I love to wake up early and get my home workout in. What a great start to my day! And I would rather be tired and sore at work than the other way around. I also log on and read the motivational comments I find at ft between sets while I'm working out. |

You know, I always have been a gym sort of guy. I think it is better for you because if you are not doing something correctly or you need a spot or something, there is always someone there to help you. Also, you meet new friends and can hook up with some really hot girls;) Also, you don't need to buy thousandsof dollars worth of equipment.

I love working out at the gym...from football,I was always around other guys who were pushin and pullin more than me...what a motivation it is to do something the next guy can't.....also just about three weeks ago I did 295lbs on the bench once after doing 275 for 3 sets of 5 and 280 for two sets of 3....I couldn't lock it out....when I went to attempt it again my partner said, "The guy next to you is gonna do it once, now beat him"....that guy had ten years on me...I did beat him through pure determination when I locked it out twice....wow what a motivation!-------------- If hard work and persistence were the keys to success, most people would opt to pick the lock.~Dick |

All together now Y-M-C-A!
The one I work out at is now an official Hammer Strength training center, which just means they bought a ton of their gear. Awesome people work there, I look forward to working out every day. |

I love working out at the gym because I tend to get lazy at home with TV, internet, and video games here. Just like richardjst, I too get motivation from looking at other people lift more weight than me.

I do it at home simply cause I have no time for the gym(two kids, wife, a job in construction).I need to figure something out cause the weights I have won't help me forever.-------------- I love this site, thank you guys. http://www.myspace.com/jeramiemaza |
