Hey everyone, I'm 39 years old and 40s creeping up real fast. I set a goal to be in the best shape of my life when I hit it. Well, I am in the best shape of my life, 5'10" 200lb but I still have alot of drive and potential left. ft has helped me through some tough sticking points and I continue to make gains in strength & size. My next goal is to be in the best shape of my life when 50 hits.

I admire your perseverance and passion. I hope to be that jovial at that age. My dad is and he is 55 now, so it can be done. It's all in the attitude and not taking life seriously, cause it really isn't. Stay focused MerlinHog.

Heck you'r still a kid, I didn't even think about getting in shape untill I hit 60 and now I am in the best shape of my life, of course I looked like a pear with a big belly and a big butt so anything would have put me in the best shape of my life. Now that you have it going stay with it because when you get my age it's hell to add pain to the already existing pain. Just be carfull and don't hurt any muscles because it will sure stop your progress. The 40 that is creeping up on you will long be gone before you know it. So good luck and hang in there.

Great news. I think anyone can use that dose of optimism now and then. Having the goal is the starting point. Thanks for letting everyone know that age doesn't matter, just who you want to be and how you want to feel!!! Keep it up.
