From what i read any where from 1.4 to 2 grams per pound of body weight, if you go to ft's my nutritional plan, enter your goals and they will set up a nutrional guide for you including protein, carbs and fat ammouts

I take in around 1.5 grams perday when on a mass gaining phase. the result is normally gains win lean body mass and slight loss in body fat.
this is something to adjust to fit your needs and it is always helpful to get your body fat measured at regulat intervals to fine tune the program

I agree with jp for using the ft nutritional plan.
It's going to depend on your goals - it may be 1.0 grams of protein per pound of body weigh, up to 2.0 grams.
