Hi, everyone, I am new to FT and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Scott and I am 39 years old. I started lifting and working out Sept. 4th, 2000 (13months ago) I have lost over 80lbs of fat and gained over 20lbs of muscle in that time. I now weigh about 188lbs. I would like to get rid of this last 10lbs of fat and exchange it for 10lbs of muscle. I especially need some help in the chest/ab area. The arms and legs look great, but... I work out at home and have a smith machine, barbells, dumbells and stairstepper. I am 35 miles from the nearest gym, so working out at home has been good for me.
So now you know most everything about me, any great ideas on how to finally get rid of the remainder of my keg and get that six-pack I want.

Welcome kio!! You give me incentive that after just 13 months how you've gained muscle. I've been working out for 4 1/2 months and have seen good gains. Hope you can get rid of the keg!!

Thanks, Steve, I really appreciate it, but I still have a ways to go to get to where I want to be now. It is hard to believe sometimes where I started. Never would have guessed that I would ever even think about looking like Zane, but now, that is my goal. It is as daunting as what I have already done, but I am going to go for it.

I think I have the resistance training and the diet down. I need to just stay on the 12 week ab workout and up my cardio. (I hate cardio) It's getting cold here in Colorado and I am tired of the stairstepper.

CONTINUE WITH YOUR AB WORKOUT, CHANGE YOUR CARDIO, IF YOU ARE BORE YOU PROBABLY HAVE BEEN DOING THE SAME THING FOR TOO LONG. TRY JUMPING ROPE, IS GREAT AND YOU BURN TWICE AS MANY CALORIES. GOOD LUCK! JOHANNA
