Hi all. Just found this wonderful website and can't wait to try out the weightlifting program. I've been a runner for the past 3 years and have not lost much weight. I guess I'm at a so-called peak. I've heard that I should incorporate weight training to get my metabolism going and BElieve me, it's slow. Will this program help? Also, I was looking into the weight training program and didn't see the portion about ab exercises. Is that later?

Welcome to ft. You can select abs as part of your program and a couple of them are pretty intense. I'll be heading through your neck of the woods tomorrow on my way to Philly. Which program did you sign up for?

If abs are a concern then the 12 week ab program is a must!

Welcome to FT. I grew up in the DC area. It must be tough to run up there any more, I can hardly walk with that friggin' beltway traffic!
The ab program is great. You have to add it separately from your weightlifting program but in the same area. It runs concurrently with your mass or toning program.
Good luck.
