...but I'm running as fast as I can.

I signed up at ft about two weeks ago, although I have been working out about 6 weeks. I adore the Nutrition Program, it has helped me immeasurably!

I am a 43 year old female. Three weeks ago my BMI was 30, it is now 26. My body fat was <ugh> 36 and it is now 27. I've lost 5 pounds and over an inch off my waist and hips.

My problem is this. I gain muscle mass very, very fast, I assume I have good muscle memory. My resting bicep measurement is 12 and my flexed is already 14 and one half inches. My traps are already prominent, and my circuit does not include heavy weights. How can I not build mass that is unattractive on a woman, but still gain strength?

I am 5'4" and 148 right now, and am restricting myself to 1000 calories a day and 24 fat grams. I have increased carbs and proteins.

If you weigh 148 and are at 26% bodyfat, I think that you will be ok. Once you lose the excess fat, your body will look better even if you have muscle showing. It is very hard for women to get bulky unless they they take a hormonal supplement. Just stick with what you are doing, cause it sounds like you have already have had some good success on losing the bodyfat.
