This is my first thread on this site so here we go. I'm a Football and Rugby player, as well as a Sailor going into my first year at University, and I plan to make it to the gym a lot more then I ever have before. I have had some experience but still need a a fair bit of help. I few details about me is that I'm a linemen and a prop in both sports and that means I'm a big boy. I'm currently at 260 lbs. most of which is muscle, and 6'4". My goals now are to build up muscle mass, lose some weight, and improve trength power and endurance. The things I need a hand are how I can really build up and tone up while losing some weight. A few of my friends suggested I’d do some research so that is what I’m doing. I’m looking for help with routines and mainly nutrition and things like protein, vitamins and other natural supplement. Any and all help would be appreciated.
My suggestion to you is to let FT help you work out a exercise program for you. Gaining Muscle mass and losing body fat at the same time is not that easy. When starting an exercise program you will automatically loose some body fat, but not what you are after. Some I suggest to first start by gaining some muscle mass and then afterwards do some cutting.
As Supplements & Nutrition. Eat 5-7 meals per day each consisting of lots of protein. Use a protein drink like Whey to fill in the additional meals. You need 2g of protein per Kilogram of bodyweight. Do not froget the magic of Creatine and L-Glutamine wit your post workout drink. Add them with your supplements. Get yourself a good multi-vitamin and drink lots and lots of water. 3-4 liters per day.
