I am new to freetrainers.com but not to exercising. I have reviewed my new programme but there is no indication of how heavy the weights should be. I need guidance on this part of the programme. Help.

Welcome to ft!

The reason there are not weights assigned is because it is impossible for ft to know that. The method to find out the weights in the beginning is by trial and error. For example, if you are asked to do 12 repetitions, then you should select a weight where you are only able to do 12 maybe 14 repetitions with before failing. Then if the next set is 10 repetitions, then you would choose a heavier weight where you can only do 10 or at max 12 repetitions. Understand?.. The key is to pyramid the weights up and challenge your muscles.

Good Luck.
