Hi MamaLambNC and Welcome!

I'm new here too and I have found the nutrition tracker very helpful in keeping track of what I eat. Gawd knows I couldn't do it myself, I get confused too easy! lol The messages boards are chock full of info and very informative.

Good Luck to you and hope to see you in the future!

Hi all!
It's me again....:o) I've got my totals but I think if I eat this much I'll gain instead of losing. Maybe I'm just silly but it seems like a lot....check it out & tell me what you think. By the way, I'm 58" & weigh 165 lbs. Here's what it says I should have:
Protein -
165 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Carbohydrates -
330 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Fats -
27 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Total Calories -
2198 .. calculated maximum, do not exceed for current goal
Thanks so much! Patty

Hi again! (Are you getting tired of me yet? LOL!!) I just switched over to the home exercise program because our fitness center doesn't have weights. Just a machine, treadmill, & bike. My question....I have 2 sets of 2 lb. weights, would that be enough weight to use with the exercises? Thanks, Patty

Welcome! First just remember to take it slow and easy at first. The weights you have might be ok for a couple of weeks but you really need to lift heavier weights to loose weight as well. Do not be afraid that you are going to gain huge looking muscles, that will not happen, what you will see is an increase in appetite, a loss of size in the waist line and a better all around feeling. AS for the food they gave you to eat (calories) that is a average number for the entire population, by this it is just a scale for you to go by, not actually a number to reach. But you will find as you lift and do cardio more that you really can loos on that. I would really look for a gym that has weights. Good luck and please ask any question you might have!

I think the 330 grams of fat is either a mistake or typo.
I wouldn't go with more than 29-30 grms of fat per day.
