as it is, i'm scheduled to be off from workouts on thursdays and sundays. can i switch it to just work out monday thru friday?

Absolutely Calebfl. When during the week doesn't matter. Just work hard at each session, give your muscles adequate time to recover, and be dedicated to a well balanced diet containing lots of protein.

thanks for the response. now i gotta figure out a diet plan. any tips??

This site has a tremendous knowledge database. I suggest checking that out. Diet is very very important to growing and sustaining muscle and definition. You'll find plenty on this site. Also, folks like bb1fit, Dang, Philia, etc., will offer some great advice since they compete on the fitness circuit.
