Welcome to freetrainers. Cograts on kicking the habit. You have come to the right place for motivation and good advice.
Well now you can go to the gym in the spare time that you have and you will see good changes in your body. Eat Healthy and train hard. Remember, you replaced smoking with food, probably carbs, and fats. Now that you will go to the gym you will probably care more about what you eat. Good protien, carbs and good fats.
Good luck

Hi... I am new to the site also; Best advise one can say is
Start slow fight the normal trend to go kill yourself the first few workouts. Not being able to move for a few weeks because your sore, is a fast easy way to forget about that Gym you should be going to but just can't seem to fine the time. If they provide a personal training there take advantage of one or two visits they can show you how to use the equipment and advise you the best way to meet the goals you set for yourself. Then the standard drink more water than you think you need, remember that any body, is 40% workout and 60% what you cook in the kitchen! Best of luck and Happy New You!

Welcome kkstcb: Sounds like you got the right outlook. I am a non smoker now 9 months after 20 + years. It's the best thing you can do for your body and to better your health. Congrats on your quiting and any time you need an ear please mail me here Ill be glad to help any way I can even if it is just to listen. Remember one important thing you can not have one just to see if you still like it or for any other reason you can think of. Ft got me through it and kept my weight down at the same time. Best of luck to you, and take a moment to fill out your profile.
