I found this site a little over a week ago and posted but not sure where the best place is for me.
I'll be 36 this summer. My 10th wedding anniversary is on Thursday and my husband and I have 4 children. I was always and still am very active..not as much as I once was. I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years. After that I backpacked my way through Europe 2 twice. I got married and did Firm workouts and then about a year later started swimming again....just started losing when our first was on his way. I had our 4 children in less than 5 1/2 yrs so my body has been through a lot. I have a wonderful closet full of clothes just waiting for me to fit into them. Currently I'm a size 16 or 18 depending on the cut and weigh I 188 it has taken me 1/5 yrs to lose from 197. In my competitive yrs. I was a size 5-7 and weighed 118-122..I am 5'5' tall. I have done a variety of workouts in the past several yrs and feel stuck. I have worked very hard for very little results. I am going to go back to the pool and include weights as my training. I know swimming is the key for me but with 4 small children I can not spend 4-5 hours a day working out like I used to. So here I am. I am very new to this site and hope I have everything figured out. Does anyone have a good board to suggest me to post on? My goals....I want my hidden figure to appear again. I know I have a nice figure under all this extra stuff. I am not lacking in energy nor do I have any health concerns. Working out is a part of me and not something that is hard for me to do. I have been working out since I was 5...that was the age I joined the swim team. R.
Wow what a story. If you aren't a prime example of someone who is motivated then I don't know what is. Sounds like you are on track and we are glad you found us.

It is time to get serious with things again...I had my big wake up call a few weeks ago....saw myself in an outfit I wore Dec. 2000 at a friends wedding I was only 4 months post partum and I looked better than I did a month ago in the same outfit even though I weigh less than I did in Dec. of 2000.
I'm looking forward to some hard work that will be effective for me. R.
