Hey everyone!
I just signed up tonight and I thought I'd post a message in here to say hi. I guess I've finally come over to the darkside. What can I tell you about myself? Hmm..Well, I'm tired of leading an unhealthy lifestyle, sitting on the computer day in and day out, and never doing anything physical. I'm trying desparately to stop smoking, with little luck (I'm a little weak in that area) and I'm determined to get my body toned up, in shape, looking and feeling better than it does. I also have a problem with motivation, so I may ask some of you to give me a swift kick in the butt sometimes. My mom calls me Scarlett - "Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?"

Anyways, I'm rambling and starting to make it sound like I'm posting to a support group or something. Let's hope I make it through this hehe.

Hi Mel and welcome to FT. Like the title of the post, i.e., the "the new porker." lol You're being pretty hard on yourself I think. Fill out a profile and check out all the different bits of information found on this site. Everything from diet to strength training. Good luck

Hi Mel

Welcome to FT your going to love this program I know I do, I have been with it for just about 3 weeks but it does work I have lost 8 lbs already plus a 1 1/2 inch around my waste. The workout become hard only if you mentally let them be hard, and as for a motivator, who better to motivate then GOD, everyday you wake up, should be all the motivation you need to keep trying to live a healthier life, Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually. Hang in there, and Good Luck

welcome Mel! I Agree with DpKing you are way too hard on yourself. You acknowledged where you are and you want to do something about it and that is the biggest step to take! You are well on your way to a new life and we are here to help you!!!

good luck with your workout goals and maybe set yourself up on a personal exercise program on here to get started. always continually read the posts as they are motivating and NEVER for get to ask a lot of questions if you are not sure about something.

Take care!

Don't be hard on yourself. Start working out and then you will want to throw away the smokes. You will see that come automaticly. Nice to have you here and good luck.
