I have a son that is a D-1 college football prospect to play offensive line.He is 6'7",300lbs.He is also a starting pitcher on his high school baseball team, and has never really hit the weights hard during the winter because he had always been told that it would hurt his pitching control. Now that he has several D-1 schools on him,he has been lifting 3-4 times a week through the winter. While he is a big, athletic kid,he could stand to be stronger for the upcoming camps and combines this summer. He has never taken any supplements, and I was thinking of letting him use them to maximize his training.Trouble is,I'm totally in the dark as to what a teen can use safely and what he needs.Any thoughts? Thanks.

How old is he?

That being said, I would first make sure his diet is right on the mark. After that, I'd probably stick with a good multi-vitamin/mineral, a protein blend, and maybe glutamine; probably doesn't really need creatine yet. Other than that, I know that the NCAA has gone bonkers banning a ton of other supplements, so, for now don't go near them. Once he gets on board with one of the schools, their strength and conditioning coach will be able to help as well.

Hey guys,he is a 17yr old junior. From what I have been reading,I was thinking along those lines(protien powder and glutamine). As far as diet,he eats about all the time,a lot of good foods as well as typical "teenager foods" such as pizza and fast foods.
