Hi everyone! I have recently discovered this website in search of some useful information regarding nutrition and workout routines. I am currently a 24year old female, 165lb(mesomorph)5'5", I love all sports; boxing, swimming, biking, tennis, volleyball, weight lifting...you name it! I just can't seem to get below 160, and it is very frusterating putting everything into it and getting minimal results. Granted I gain muscle like crazy for a women but I just can't seem to loose the fat on top of that muscle. I would ideally like to trim down to about a solid 140. My workouts consits of 3 days a week 2 hours total body; 10min warm-up, 1 1/2 hour weight lifting & 20min cardio. Should I up the amount of cardio I do per week(for ex. at lunch ride my bike M-Th for about 45min-1 hour?) I also go to max reps.(15 for arms and 20 for legs) at 2 sets each & I'm using a very high weight and counting.
Well, I notice when I am doing so well, drinking my protein shakes, cans of tuna and fruits & vegies, that I will last for about 2-3 months but then I go on these binges where I just want everything in site! UGGGHHHH! And that will last for about a week and then back on the ol' routine again.
I need some sort of structure back in my routines again, I am easily bored and thrive on new and exciting ways of training.
Thanks for the ear!
Lauren
