I know I asked alot of questions but Im really new at this fitness stuff and I am really serious about getting into shape I 38 yrs old 5'2" and weigh 160 lbs I just got diagnosed with a medical condition that I have had for about 8 years and didn't know I had just thought the weight was a normal getting older thing because even after having three children I was always between 110 and 120 and looked ok in clothes then after my third child the weight went up my activity level (hiking, swimming, chasing three kids)was always high one good point was I plateaued at 160 and for the last 3 years my weight hasn't changed I had tried different diets but loss nothing! I added walking daily for an hour and had no change nothing was working went to doctor and I have had a hormone problem for at least 8 years now I want to get back into shape because I am getting older and I know it isn't healthy to carry more weight than your frame is designed for. I repeat I was never into dieting or worrying about how I looked as long as I felt healthy that was all that mattered now that the hormonal problem has been resolved I just don't feel healthy I tire more easily I pull back muscles then I hurt please answer my earlier questions so that I can get on the proper track!

Good luck and just keep pushing yourself. It is great that you found FT. Alot of success stories here. You will be suprised at how your body changes when adding weight training beside the diet and cardio.

Hi Drgnldy.
I also have been having some hormonal fluctuations. But I am at that age where it is to be expected. I started some fast paced walking on the treadmill about two weeks ago and have lost 5 pounds already. Just keep it up. We are here for you.
And fill in your profile so we can all get to know you better.
