Caffeine makes your heart beats faster, the blood run faster and you get excited. This makes the calories burn faster, and as you know Wake, to loose fat you have to burn more calories than you eat. A good thing is to drink a cup of black coffee just before cardio training. You can go on for a little longer, and you'll burn calories a little faster too. But before using caffeine (or other metabolism fasteners) it's a good idea to see the doc, to make sure that your heart and body can handle it too. Just don't take stupid risks with yourself.

Studies I've read show that caffine increases the rate that body fat is converted to usable energy. Is it true ? who knows. I have 2 cups before my morning work-out. I find it gets me going. Occassionally I "go off " it for awhile then when I start again I can feel the difference in my energy. Some people don't tolerate caffine well, everyone is different.

The prob is that some people just go too far, so that's the dangerous part. A black coffee or two (like we drink them here in France!) don't hurt you, but if you start drinking ten per day, you'll end up as a wreck. Moderation is the word.

unfortunately, caffeine does have some drawbacks. if you consume those valuable proteins just before your workout, it might burn the proteins too fast just before you end your workout. the important thing here is to time yourself.

i read some articles sayin how michael jordan used to consume lots of coffee before a game (depending on the source it went from 6 cups to one source which said 15 which would kill him most likely) so i started havin a few cups of strong black coffee before a game and it worked great haven't used them before a workout but
