I have a 100% Whey protein and was just wondering how often I should use it to get good gains from it. At the moment I have a serving with Breakfast and straight after the gym. Is this enough, too much, too little. Thanks
whey protein is best taken immediately after a workout with carbs (2:1 carb to protein ratio). for the rest of the day, mix your proteins, i.e., milk and egg. they are absorbed slowly to ensure positive nitrogen balance, while whey is fast acting, allowing quick absorbtion after a workout.
Definitely after workout. I also drink them during the day when I feel my protein consumption is lower than normal (i.e. did not get enough from food sources).
