Hi. What is the best liquid to mix with supplement powders (protien powder etc). I read juice is the best. Does anyone else have any other information in this area?
Thanks BB

I prefer milk because it just adds to the amount of protein you're taking. It also makes a smoother shake most of the time. If you're taking whey protein, milk would be the best choice. Whey is absorbed by the body very quickly, whereas milk protein takes a while to be absorbed. That way, you are utilizing both types of protein in an efficient manner.

yea I also perfer milk. Here is one of my shakes that I use:
Morning shake Mix:
1 cup of milk 6 oz. of strawberry lowfat yogurt 1 banana 3 icecubes 1 scope of vanilla protein powder
mix all ingrediants into a blender for about 40-45 seconds
there is about 35 protein grams in this shake...:)

Depends on the flavor, but either water or milk(skim) is best, will work best. If you are on a strict diet, you may not want to use milk at all. It does add protein of course, and help the flavor some, so if not dieting strictly this is good. You can always add some fresh fruit, frozen stawberries or peaches are very good in a vanilla shake, and are active carbs that are good for you. If you are trying to gain, here is a great one....10 oz. skim milk, vanilla protein powder, 2 tbsp. peanut butter, and a bananna! It is great. Or if you use chocolate, it will taste much like a Reese cup.
