Okey guys I just though about one thing yesterday.....
Everybody says that supplements are so expensive to buy BUT what if we needed to find the same amount of "clean" proteins in the food that we got in a big bucket of protein powder..... For example, if we have 3 kgs of pure protein in a bucket we'll need what, 10-15 kgs of chicken or meat?!!!!! (and I DON'T even want to imagine how many EGG WHITES you'll need to eat to get the same amount of proteins!!) It would be soooo much more expensive!!! AND in the "real" food we'll get all the fat as well!....
Just think about it......

Amen, Philia2. That said, it's still preferable to get protein from whole foods than supplements. Supplements really add convenience only, and that's what you pay for. Oh yeah, that and the high markups for those huge advertorials in magazines...

They add an extra ability to make your needs for food. But I rather eat 10 lbs of chicken then drink a gallon of shakes

Well, for one, that is why they are called "supplements"! They are at best to be an aid to your normal healthy nutritional program.

I agree. Supplements are becoming to expensive for me to maintain @ $20 a pop. I'm taking 3 scoops a day - twice a day on non-workout days and three times a day on workout days. Any suggestions. My goal is to consume 200g of protein a day (body weight 180lbs).
