Im not sure if I should post this here, but I will anyway. I saw an advertisement for shark cartlidge supplements. This product is supposed to help reduce the pain caused from arthritis. My mother-in-law showed me this advertisement and I really think it is a bunsh of b.s.She is 82 and wants to try it for her bad knees. Has anyone ever heard of this stuff or know some one who has tried it? Sorry if I posted in the wrong area.

Well yes and no, I've heard about the product but I don't know it personally. What I DO know helps for your joints is chondroitine and glucosamine. I've been taking it every day for almost one year and all my joint pain is gone.

Tell her not to waste her money. Glucosamine has years of research behind it and will work much better.

I think when shark cartilidge first hit the market it was touted as an aid to fighting cancer!! If I remember right, it was researched in Mexico and highly promoted in health food stores. Maybe the research didn't pan out...Maybe that didnt work, so they started with the joint thing..

another good supplement for her to try would be a joint support, mixed with glucosamine/chondroitin and msm.
