I recently had to start to take medication that has a possible side effect of liver problems as do many other medications. In fact I need to get a blood test on a biyearly basis to make sure liver function is normal. Does creatine get processed in the liver and would it probably be better to lay off of the creatine? Not to put you off Jason, I'd ask my doc before I took any supplements if I was already being treated with medication.

I don't feel put off. I appreciate all feedback. I will ask my doctor although the last time I did about a particular supplement he was clueless. I figure his patent answer will be to lay off whether he knew or not (safest bet) which is what I will probably do. I'll keep up the protein and the glutamine. I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. Jason

Ask your doc for sure, but most don't know about them like you say "clueless" . The liver filters everything we consume so be wise andthink is it REALLY necessary?

I find that some of the best people to speak with are pharmacists, because they are forced to keep up with drug testing, herbals, ect. as a part of the job. A pharmacist may be able to fill you in on any side effects or interactions of this medication, which you need to know anyway.
