Has anyone ever tried this protein supplement? If so, what did you think of it?

I have been thinking of trying it. It's a fair bit more expensive than other protein supplements, so I would like to get an objective opinion before I try it.

Thanks.

Well, my honest opinion is it is the best pure whey out there. Great for pre and post workout. Have done alot of searching, and spending of money. Something you may now be able to avoid. That is the only time I use it though. It may cost a bit more as you say, but then what good is it to spend less and not get quality, thus having to use much more? Is that really a bargain?

Thanks for bringing this up, I was running low on whey protein from GNC. This looks interesting enough, read some articles about it. I think I might pick myself up a few tubs of it. Pricewise, it isn't too awful. It's 26.99 for a 2 lb tub at bodybuilding.

Yes, you do not have to buy it from AST. They are higher. Either your source or www.vitaglo.com are much better prices. I think you will be pleased with the quality.

Hey bb1fit,

I am going to try the VP2 based on your recommendation. A couple of questions:

How many scoops of it do you take on your workout days? Do you also take it on your non-workout days?

Thanks.

I take 2 scoops immediately post workout. This is 48 grams of protein. I usually do not take it on my workout days due to the fast absorbency issue. The best reason for taking it is just this, and this is immediately post training. It is of the highest quality in my opinion. It is extremely rich in BCAA's, which your body needs at a fast rate post training. Sometimes if I feel the need, I may take one scoop pre training also.
