Lumina is right.
It's early morning here and with my breakfast I'm actually drinking a whey protein shake with soy milk.........

From a pure muscle building standpoint, whey is "way'" better! Purely healthwise, soy has some very interesting qualities.

I can't say which one is better, since I just started to use whey, along with soy, but I can say which one test better for me: soy. I have very hard time drinkig the whey shake, I hope I get used to it...

In terms of value, both whey and soy score 1.0 on PDCAAS, the current internationally recognized standard for measuring protein quality. 1 is the highest rating, and both soy and whey earn this mark. Both BV and PER are outdated when it comes to measuring protein quality. On a gram for gram basis, soy contains more glutamine and arginine than whey--two key aminos for bodybuilders. Whey does contain slightly more of the BCAAs however. While whey is probably better immediately after training, I think it's a facile argument to say that whey is better than soy in all respects.
