I have started working out at the gym before Xmas.. My goal is to tone up my fatty spots ( abs and chest ) and gain some weight in the form of muscle I weigh 172 , and am 5'10" medium build ...not heavy , just have a little belly and chest has some fatty areas..
I have started my diet ( from what I read for fat loss , low carbs? and bascially eat sensibly )
What suppliments could I include as a beginner ?

I would save the supplements for a bit. Maybe a protein source, for variation, some L-glutamine may help you recover a bit faster, but if you are eating an adequate diet at this point, you should make great gains/losses. Supplements are just that, supplements, and you will get the most use out of them after you have reached your natural sticking point. I would think you should still be progressing fairly well at this point. Nothing happens overnight, and there is no supplement that will do you much better than good, clean diet and intensity in your training. I would save things like creatine for later. Hope this makes sense.

Yes , it absolutely makes sense. I already am using a protein supp a friend game me , but it gives me gas! So I am going to buy a better quality ( from what I've read ..) supp for that , that will digest better?.. Yea my diet is going well , and I know all good things take time. I did , however , but some creatine, I got Effervescent creatine from GNC that requires no loading phase ( which was a plus for me ), its 5 mg daily ...so I thought I would use it for 20 days ( supply runs out then lol ) and see how it goes after that point.
Thanks for your reply friend =)

I'm not so sure about effervescent creatine. I've not seen anything regarding it that says it actually works. I know that creatine serum does not and I'm suspicious of this effervescent stuff. There's no data to indicate anything other than creatine powder is effective. If you're worried about the loading phase, don't. You don't need to load with regular creatine either. In addition, don't buy anything from GNC. EVER. That is one of the few absolutes when it comes to weight training. You can get supplements online for roughly 60% of what you're paying at GNC and there will be no commission-driven, know-nothing sales jockey riding you to get something you don't want or need.
