I've currently began taking whey protein. I have 2 shakes per day; one for early a.m. meal and one for post workout. I've just read a post that stated Whey protein isn't as effective for fat burning as other protein shake powders? Help! I currently have been weight training for 2 years off & on, and am on a 4 day split routine, however have up'd my cardio to drop some bodyfat (cardio 4x per week-45 minute ea.) Any advice regarding a preferred protein shake powder, or other supplements would be appreciated.

Protien isn't a fat burner. Protien is an important nutrient in our body that helps build muscle, and many other components in our bodies like hair, nails.
Whey protien is one of the best protiens on the market to supplement your diet. Never the less you should even go with whey isolate. That is the best form. If you are trying to lose fat stay away from added carbs and fat in the powder, and try and get a powder with at least 30 grams of protien in one scoop. Hope this helps.
