I tried this once and it did not work, so here we go again. I read some of your messages and it seems like you know what youu are doing. I am 5'10" 195. probably high teens in body fat. I have been lifting for many years and consider myself a hard gainer. I am interested in losing body fat and toning/shaping my muscles. What do you suggest? How many days per week should I train each body part? How many reps? sets? I would like to lift 3 days, but could do 4. Any info or advice would be great. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,
KA

hi ka 3 sets 15 to 20 reps no or little rest in between sets.how are you eating are you watching the fat and carb intake? eat smaller meals and more of them don't let your body be hungry that makes you want to eat more. 3times a week trainig is good 2 bodyparts per work out try aerobics before or after training.

Though my name isn't Arnold, I feel a need to answer you question. I will refer you to your local library to check out and read this book: “Bodystat” by Eric Witt, Ph.D. and Carol Wirth. Published by Penguin Books
This book is quite informative when it comes to losing fat through eating (I hate the word diet, because it reminds me of those starvation diets)

New research has shown that you can work a body part and break for three days before working it again. After all, the muscle building takes place during the rest period, NOT the work out.

The accepted training is three days a week with a day off between each workout day. You will see results with that method.

ANother good book to check out would be: "Fitness Weight Training" by Thomas R. Baechle card catalof number 613 Bae. This book had different work outs for different goals.

I wish you luck in your pursuits. Cheers
