A day off is great. I usually make a great effort to eat the right things and avoid the wrong ones when I take a day off. I also try to get some extra rest (meditation or even a nap). I also try to spend a little time stretching or walking on the beach.

man ive had 4 or 5 weeks off already it sucks my shoulder still hurts and it hurts when i do almost everything except stomach and legs

Yes! I never thought of it that way! I think I'm going to try to take a day off too! Maybe I'll do that sometime this summer!

I have to agree. I take a week off for every 8 weeks of lifting.

That sounds like a good idea... I try not to workout on the weekends (Family time) but my current workout schedule requres it... I think I'll take a few days off after a few more weeks of trainer. A week seems to long but I could go for a few days
