I hate to rest....To me, there is nothing worse than getting to the end of a awsome 8 or 12-week program and having to take a week off. I know it needs to be done, but i can't stand it.

I agree.. you're 100% right that it's needed but it is so mentally hard! You feel such a void..
The week or two afterwards are for sure very intense though since you are all fired up to get back into the run of things!

Wow.. you are lucky man, I usually have a hard time going to the gym and I usually wait for the resting days to come.

Not only is it hard resting for a week, but I find extremely hard when I am in the gym, to simply stop. You feel that good pump for 4 or 5 exercises and just want to keep going.

This is a good time to catch up on some of the other things in your life - like cleaning out your gym bag or reading Arnold's Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding.

There will be plenty of time to rest when we're dead.

Do other activities. Like Mt. biking, or hiking, do the ones you like but don't normally do when lifting weights.=)

Doesn't your body rest between workout days? Why rest another week at the end of your program?
