Old wives tale. I don't know if you remember the days of honey and fruit just before exercise to give more energy. Well that was debunked and I still believe that you eat for tomorrow and then have some complex carbs about an hour before exercise. Of course get your carbs post-workout.
Well I remember reading that honey is the worst kind of energy providers as they r too consentrated.....try fruits, they have fructose....it helps heal muscles too....have atleast 5 fruit servings a day......dont go too much on sweets.
