I would like to lower my body fat percentage to about 6-10 percent. I am 16, so would lowering my body fat percentage to those levels be healthy for me? My dad is worried that it might lower my immune system function. Is this true? Mical
your dad is correct. Your immune system does become weaker as your bodyfat decreases. However, this would begin to occur only at around 6% and lower. Your are fine to have your bodyfat at around 8-10% which is very appealing.
