I think it depends on the body part split. I did two-a-days for six weeks earlier this summer. It was awesome. I have dropped 24lbs and improve my bench by 40lbs!! I lifted heavy every workout. I took vitamins to ensure proper nutrition and recovery. No creatine but I did an amino acid supplement with extra glutamine and taurine. I used a very structured program and only worked each body part twice a week and never back to back. Example week: Mon - am chest pm shoulders tris Tues - am legs pm back bis Wed - Off Thurs - am chest pm shoulders back Fri - am legs Sat - bis and tris Sun - Off
