Hi!
I have gained 10 pounds of fat over the summer, mostly accumilated in my love handles, with a small bunch on my lower belly and inner thighs. I need to lose this for June, and I was wondering how much exercise/calories would be required. I am 5'6" and 140 pounds, and I like eating a light breakfast (protein shake or omelette), medium lunch (veggies, apple, soy nuts, sandwich, etc), snack and then dinner (tuna, or meat, and veggies, maybe some rice and organic cookies, etc.). I belong to a Tae Kwon Do dojang, which I can go to Mon, Tues, Thurs. On Saturday I have access to a pool/workout room, and I have free weights and pilates videos in my house. I lose weight fairly quickly, and I am determined, but I need advice on how I can surely get there. Thank you!

Welcome to FT superstartobe

I would suggest hitting the weights and doing regular cardio afterwards (cardio after weights burns fat better than before). You could also stay later at your Dojang for cardio - practise your kicks and punches and patterns so that it gets your heart racing. I hope this little bit helps :)

And clean up the diet. Drop the cookies, bread from the sandwich. Try adding two small snacks and eating less at the meals. Measure your portions for a while. You can still have the bread and cookies but not on a regular basis if you want to lose weight.

Hello! Thanks for the advice. It is GREATLY appreciated.

I can't have them, even if the cookies are low calorie and the bread has no yeast or sugar (pioneer bread)? What are good ideas for lunch (that I can pack-other than salad)?

I don't know if this helps, but most of the weight I gained is in my stomach/love handles. All my exercise tones up my legs pretty well, but I need something that will get rid of all this fat lying on my midsection. Will a 20 minute ab pilates video in the morning help at all?

Hi!
I was wondering if I could tone up my midsection in a few weeks. I have lots of muscle underneath the fat, and the fat seems to go away pretty fast when I work out and don't eat a lot of crap. Also, what should I be doing to fit into a pair of jeans? (They are tight around the butt/thigh and waist area) Summer's coming... won't wait up for me. :) 3 weeks is plenty for me to jump start though.
