Yes young wrestler I'm still alive. 5 posts in a row constitutes talking to yourself. Thats probably better than playing with yourself. At least both activities involve someone you love lil bro.

I didn't realize I was makin it seem bad. It must occur, however after it occurs, you need to provide a new stimulus to adapt to.

Which routine are you referring to tim? 10*10? Then no, it is like I said for competitive lifters looking to move up a weight class. The volume is far to high to gain strength on.

As for switching exercises weekly Ron, adaption can and will take place. However, I should clarify that when I am changing from one exercise to another, it is usually something like going from the bench press to 2 board press to floor press to another press variation... All bench press variations. They are similar enough to allow for adaption.

A couple of exceptions are proprioceptive work like db presses on a swiss ball. I do not see the point in doing proprioceptive or stabilizer work for a single week, but this would usually be added in as accessory work anyway.

Some of the strongest powerlifters in the world switch weekly to every 3 weeks. However this is cause and effect. They have to switch on a regular basis BECAUSE they are at that level, they didn't get to that level BY switching weekly.

I dunno why the quote didn't go in there...

This one:

"I however, constantly rotate my exercises while never staying with a constant rep range, and working in different strength qualities simulataneously."

Anyway, got to the gym tonight, and done a hard chest/bicep workout,(no 10*10 sets). After reading the last few posts i've got to agree with bb1fit,with doing it occasionaly to shock the muscle.I tried it the other night with decline dumbell press, single arm rows and tricep pulldowns, yes it was hard going but it must have done some good.
Cheers.

My routine? Not necessarily powerlifting, but strength training. In the spring of 2007 I will be doing a raw powerlifting meet, I'll post my training then, but it will likely be a conjugated powerlifting program.
